I may have not asked the City of Tacoma’s permission to prune this cherry, but it’s beautiful branches at less than waist height were in danger of blocking the sidewalk… someday.

Here’s a cross section of the shoofly pie I made with the help of my friend, Tom. Neither of us had tasted a shoofly pie before, but I was curious to find out what one was after going by Shoofly Pie in West Seattle. This sugar pie tastes like a gigantic molasses cookie with the filling texture similar to a nut free pecan pie. This dessert was tasty, but I felt sugar overloaded after half a slice. Still, I ate a whole piece. *Groan*

This boy is an adorably naughty kitty. He might be more curious than smart, but he’s undeniably charming. He’s the most affectionate cat I’ve ever met; how else could he have convinced me to take him into my apartment?! He’s been well taken care of: fixed with up to date vaccinations, free of ticks, fleas, and mites, at a healthy weight with a shiny black coat. If you’d like to adopt Nixon, give me a call at 425-443-4250. Thanks!

This cat prefers drinking out of the toilet or sink. When neither are available, he’ll opt for an old fashioned glass. Really, any vessel other than his designated water bowl will do.
-
My cat decided he was going to play nightcrawlers as I was trying to make the bed.

This political button won’t fit on Nixon’s collar. It’s kind of a classic. Here is it’s new home. Picture of Nixon for 2016 election bid to come!
-
I’m really into these buttons after watching house of cards and also as they relate to my darling kitty cat.

This is the newly open and remodeled Murray Morgan Bridge. It crosses the water from downtown Tacoma to the tide flats. Hopefully, this new route to one of Tacoma’s many industrial areas will improve existing businesses and fill vacant buildings ready to be rented.
